Heden is the heart of Gothia Cup. Here you will find the Information desk and the tournament’s headquarters during the week. Heden Center is centraly located in Gothenburg, within walking distance from Ullevi Stadium (opening ceremony arena) and the main boulevard Avenyn.
Despite of the fact that Heden is located right in the Göteborg city centre, this area accommodates five artificial grass pitches, three 11-a-side and two 7-a-side. On two of these pitches we have built up grandstands for the spectators to enjoy the games.
Here you find a food court with several food trucks. At the Gothia Store you can purchase sports wear and this years official merchandise products.
A large event area where our partners organize fun activities and competitions all week.
Heden is an important place for Swedish football. It was here that the first football match in Sweden was played. The year was 1892 and the match was between Örgryte IS and IS Lyckans Soldater.
Here you find the Gothia Heden Center, a large event and exhibition area where our partners arrange fun activities and contests. You will also find the Gothia Store, where souvenirs can be purchased and our food court.
Strategically and perfectly located with panorama view over the pitches you find the Leaders Lounge. Here leaders meet colleagues from all over the world to discuss tactics. Enjoy a free cup of coffee and if you want something else to drink you can purchase it at the bar. Leaders pick up their coach polo here (included with Leaders Card). A Leaders Card is required for entrance to Leaders Lounge.
SKF Arena is the main pitch during the tournament. With a capacity for nearly 8000 spectators, it is the perfect place to be for anyone who wants to see high-quality international football.
Thanks to the short distances in the city, Gothenburg is one of Europe’s premier events cities. It’s a friendly summer city with easy access to the archipelago. The people of Gothenburg are used to looking after their visitors. And we also have Liseberg, the top leisure park in Northern Europe, visited by a large proportion of all Gothia Cup participants.
