Gothia PUMA Trophy is a professional tournament with only high quality international youth teams for 17 year olds. Eight teams from Sweden plays against eight invited teams from the rest of the world.
The teams participating in this category have been invited to the tournament. The Swedish teams have been invited by EFD (Womens Elite football Association for Sweden). The international teams are invited by Gothia Cup. The tournament is played during the Gothia Cup week, July 18th-24th, 2021. The matches are played at Valhalla IP and Heden.
The tournament started in 2014 and was a success from the first year. From the start the interest in the tournament has only increased. Gothia PUMA Trophy (G17) 2021 will be the seventh time the tournament takes place. Teams that have celebrated victory in past editions are Paris Saint-Germain, QBIK, Nor Cal, FC Rosengård and Tokyo Verdy and Minnesota Thunder.

Girls born January 1st 2004 or later. It is also allowed to use a maximum of two players born January 1st 2003 or later. Each team may register a maximum of 18 players.
There's a total of 16 teams invited, eight from Sweden and eight international teams.
The teams are divided into groups of four. All teams meet in a round robin series. The two best placed teams in each group go to the A-play offs. The rest of the teams play the B-play off.
2 x 30 minutes.
All matches are played at fields in the city centre and are played on astroturf. The final is played on hybrid grass.
