”Mr Gothia”, General Secretary Dennis Andersson, was inducted into the Hall of Fame during a ceremony at Liseberg. With 40 years of Dennis Andersson’s visionary leadership, Gothia Cup has turned into the world’s largest and most international youth football event, with about 35 000 participants, representing 80 nations.
”It’s an honour to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, I’m very humbled by it all. It might be the finest award you can get in this context and to me it showed the committee values Gothia Cup’s significance for Gothenburg. I want to share this award with all the players and leaders who have participated in Gothia Cup. It’s our amazing participants who have made the tournament into a world leading meeting place for adolescents”, says Dennis Andersson.
