The last win went to France - Gothia Cup

The last win went to France

In the last finale for tonight and the last match in the Gothia Cup, was the category B18 that would decide a winner. Entente Sannois Saint Gratien against Örgryte IS, and it was going to be a nail-biter.

A fast-paced match right from the start. Just six minutes into the game, Örgryte had a nick just outside the goal. It was the best goal opportunity in the first half.

A seemingly defensive playing Entente SSG in the first half and Örgryte who pushed off well offensively. A tough match where a player was bursting on and many shorter injury breaks.

Örgryte switched up one level at the end of the game and had a nick just outside the goal once again. But the final result was 0-0 and as the last match today, it would be decided on penalties.

Three missed penalties from Örgryte became their fall. Entente SSG put all their penalties flawlessly and won and jubled so that France could hear.

The most valuable player of the match was, of course, the goalkeeper Ciré Ndongo who saved two penalties. The team and the trainers was really satisfied with the gold.

– It has been a tournament that had been exciting. We have had a wonderful week here in Sweden and met very good football teams, said coach Diaz.

Thank you very much Örgryte IS and Entente SSG for a finely played final in the B18.
