The play off has started

The playoffs started on Thursday in every category and it was clearly that it was a little bit more tense on the football fields. At Grimbo 1 on the sunny Thursday morning, the crowd could witness a dramatic penalty shoot-out.

I the A-Play offs 1/32 final in Boys 13 category was it two goal loving teams that faced each other. Coerver Coaching Tunisie from Tunisia and C.A River Plate from Argentina.

It was a tough game that was played on the sunny football field were every challenge and run was crucial. The team from Tunisia started best and also scored the first goal. C.A River Plate, who had the goal difference 16–1 before the game was chasing an equalizer and with just a few minutes left, it looked like they shouldn’t reach any goal.

But with five minutes remaning came the crucial equalizer for the Argentines. The result meant, once again, when it comes to tight and closed play off-games, penalty shootout.

From the penalty spot showed the Tunisian team strength and scored five penalties of five. The guys from Argentina missed one.

Coerver Coaching Tunisie advanced to the 1/16 final. But C.A River Plate could feel very proud of themselves and leave the tournament satisfied after a well played Gothia Cup.

During the play offs we will se a lot of happiness combined with heartbreaking sadness. Don’t forget to congratulate your competitor, but also com fort each outer. In the end, we are all winners in Gothia Cup.
