It is not a surprise that Gothia Cup is growing every year. And this year Gothia Cup is expanding with three new venues. We are moving outskirts of Gothenburg and welcome Kobbens IP, Apelsinplan and Gröna Vallen as new venues and hosts for the Gothia Cup 2017.
Kungsladugårds BK is the home club of Apelsinplan and they are using it everyday throughout the year. It is a big opportunity for the club to be shown and get attention by providing the best service and good welcome to the teams that visiting Apelsinplan through the week.
“It feels great that Gothia Cup will be played here at Apelsinplan. It’s a big chance for us as a club to contribute. We will be more than 40 people that’s gonna be here through the week, helping and assisting”, says Thomas Gehöör, a member of Kungsladugårds BK.
It will be played group stage matches and playoffs (mon-thurs) at Apelsinplan, which offers 2* 11 a side, and 1* 7 a Side. Thomas is looking forward to the week and chooses to pay an extra tribute to the enthusiastic people of the club.
“We have a group of people that is doing a great job for the club and they will be valuable for us in this context. It’s a big event and really fun for us to be a part of it and doing it on our home venue”, says Thomas Gehöör.
The club also participates in the tournament with teams in classes B13, B15, B16 and G15.
