Älvsborgs Fortress
Today is New Älvsborg Fortress one of the West Coast’s most popular destinations. Strömma Skärgårdsbåtar take you on a tour through the fascinating port of Gothenburg, not only the internal but also the outer harbor, to the fortress. In the dramatized historical performance included in the price, you will follow Peder Tordenskiöld when he tries to take New Älvsborg Fortress. You also get an insight into what it was like being a woman in the early 1700s and how the life of a soldier could look like. The boats depart from Lilla Bommen and ticket is purchased on board. The show is 30 minutes of humor and history in a stunning setting and starts in connection with that the boat arrives in Älvsborg. The rally point is at the tunnel into the courtyard. Paddan
Under 20 bridges and out into the harbor. The classic city tour, with Paddan boats, show off the beauty of Gothenburg from the water. Get on board right in the city at Kungsportsplatsen and see the old moat and canals from the 1600s and the history of the city’s construction and defense. The guided tour continues beneath the many low bridges, including the ”Cheese slicer”. Permanent departures by Swedish / English and Swedish / German tour. The tour takes about 50 minutes.
