The match came off to a wavering start when both teams struggled to take the pace. Oulu made a few shots on goal but nothing came of it. Oulu still got the lead seven minutes in after a unfortunate back pass with a self-goal as a result.
The face of the game changed after that and AIK showed good fighting spirit despite their setback and got some really good attempts to score, though it was Oulu that managed to put the ball in the net in the 16th minute by way of a counter from Hulda Kuustie. A tight first half ended with 2-0, a result that mirrored the match.
Andra halvlek hann knappt börja innan Oulu utökade ledningen genom Sara Haltamo. Därefter dog matchen lite. AIK försökte att komma tillbaka men Oulus försvar kämpade var bra och när Sara Haltamo gjorde 4-0 med tio minuter kvar så kändes matchen avgjord. Det blev en utklassningsseger för Oulu även fast AIK var bättre än så och förtjänade ett mål eller två.
The second half had just started when Oulu further increased their lead through Sara Haltamo. After this early goal the match stalled somewhat. AIK tried to make a comeback but Oulu’s firm defence was too much to handle and when Sara Haltamo gave her team their fourth goal the match seemed decided. Oulu out-classed AIK, even though the latter team made a good effort and easily deserved a goal or two.
