G14: Bele Barkaby IF – PK -35, 4-6

In the class G14, Bele Barkaby IF played against Finnish PK -35. This is the 4th time a Finnish team plays in the in finals during the 2000th century. The teams who have reached the finals have always been girls in the class 13 or 14, and in usual order it was G14 who had reached this far in the tournament again. But one challenge were left, they had never won the finals.
The match started as a tough morning game whit slow running feet in both teams. Bele Barkaby got first to find the right shape. The strong Bele Barkaby player Ellinor Sjöblom worked her way trough the Finnish defence and, alone with the goalkeeper, scored 1-0 just before the half time pause.
The game went all the way to the 39th minute before PK -35 reduced the numbers to 1-1. After that the game went dangerous with many chances to score for both teams, but the goalkeepers did a great job and held the stabile and equal until the end of the game. After a exiting penalty shooting the girls in PK -35 finally won with 4-6. Congratulation the 14 year old girls who finally brought the gold to Finland.
