B14: Fyllingsdalen FK 1 (NOR) – Chivas Guadalajara (MEX) 1-4 (0-2)

Chivas has scored the most goals in the class, and has the outstanding goal difference 65-1 after 8 games. Fyllingsdalen, on the other hand, has a tight defence and has only conceded three goals during the tournamnet.

Chivas quickly took the initiative and scored in the second minute when Norbiy Lopez played Eduardo Paniagua in front of goal. A little later Kevin Ibarra was close to extend their lead but the ball hit the post. The quick and techniqual passing game from Chivas made it difficult for Fyllingsdalen to intercept the ball and had to focus on defence. With a couple of minutes left Chivas scored 2-0 through Kevin Ibarra, and Fyllingsdalen had to come up with something during half time.

Fyllingsdalen began the second half closing down the opposition more aggressively. Soon it resulted in a goal when Sindre Löseths finish got past the keeper. The game was even but it was Chivas who extended their lead after Marius Sivertsen made a poor reception in the penalty area, making Jose Sanchez free in front of goal. Thereafter Chivas controled the game. Fyllingsdalen tried to advance, had a header in the bar but didn’t come closer than that. When Jose Sanchez scored his second goal with only one minute left the match was over.

G14 – Bergdalen catched up and won after penalties

G14 DFF, Vasalunds (SWE) – Bergdalens IK (SWE) 1-2 p (1-0)

The Stockholm teams have been dominating the girl classes this year, and Vasalund is no exception. With only one conceded goal in the tournament, and a playoff where they wrecked all their opponents, they seem strong. Bergdalen from Borås comes from an even playoff, with many 1-0 wins.

Vasalund has a tight offensive from the start, with a good goal chance in the first minute. But the game is quite even. Vasalund plays with Samantha Ammanuel as libero, and Bergdalen doesn’t get too many chances to get past her and her three supporting defenders. Bergdalen seems to have decided to mark Vasalund’s Therese Simonsson, and she gets tackled all the time. This gives Vasalund two penalty shots, and Johanna Wikström strikes both of them. The first one hits the post. The other one, in 12.49, gives her revenge. 1-0 for Vasalund, and a yellow card for Bergdalen’s Linnea Berg. In the end of the half, Bergdalen has a counter attack. The keeper loses the ball and if it wasn’t for the defenders, who kicks away the ball really fast, it would have been a goal. But over all, it seems like Vasalund is the better team.

Something happens in the secind half. The game is faster, the passes are longer and come more often, the goalkicks are longer. Both of the teams want to win this so much. Bergdalen’s defence suddenly seems waterproof, while Bergdalen looks a bit weaker. And in the 36th minute, Ellen Jerkersson in Bergdalen scores 1-1, after dribbling past both the libero and the keeper. The rest of the half is unbelievably even. Bergdalen plays well in the midfield, but no big chances are created. And when Bergdalens defensive is to tight, it doesn’t matter that Vasalund has two technical, always running forwards: Berna Yigin and Therese Simonsson. The second half ends 1-1 and the game is to be finished by penalties.

Bergdalen scores all of their penalties, while Vasalund only scores two. And Bergdalen wins this final for two reasons – the catched up in the second half, and they had four excellent penalty strikers.

Most valuable player: #9 Berna Yigin

G19 – AIK was the best team in the even class

G19 – Karlskrona FF (SWE) – AIK FF (SWE) 0-2 (0-1)

The two teams in this final clearly show that the G19 class has been very even this year. The speed of the game is high from the start and both of the teams have a clear wish: to win. AIK shows great passes and they keep their positions well. In the fifth minute, Nathalie Perswalld scores the first goal of the game. It’s a nice goal – a few good passes in a row, followed by a shot from the left side of the pitch. Karlskrona has a fast forward who never stops running and trying to catch the ball – Anna Julin – but she’s always stopped by the AIK defenders. Worth mentioning is that the two keepers today really stand out: Lina Widén Gatehag for AIK and Emilia Liljequist for Karlskrona.

Karlskrona doesn’t get a fun start of the second half. After seven minutes, Veronika Steen scores for AIK, which really is the better team in this final. AIK also has a massive support from the audience, which is for the worse for Karlskrona. AIK plays a well thought game, the passes are good and they win almost all the tackles. Karlskrona is pushing as much as they can, but AIK steals the ball quickly. A free kick in the middle of the second half is their best chance, but Lina Widén Gatehag saves. It’s an AIK team overwhelming with happiness that lifts the cup after the match, which ends 2-0.

Most valuable player: #5 Linda Augustsson, AIK
