Kim Källström Trophy
The Kim Källström Trophy is a co-operation between Gothia Cup, Special Olympics Europe/Eurasia, Special Olympics Sweden and of course our main sponsor, the Swedish national player Kim Källström.
The fifth edition of Kim Källström Trophy will be played between 12 and 16 July 2015. We are hoping for another fantastic year with 30 teams from all over the world. The tournament starts on Monday with a divisioning play at Kviberg Playing Center. After this the groups will be drawn and the playing schedule will be presented on Monday evening. On Tuesday to Thursday the groups will be playing on Kviberg, and for the lucky ones this will finished with a final play on Thursday at Heden Playing Center in the heart of Gothenburg.
Rules of competition
In Kim Källström Trophy teams that are members of the Special Olympic Program are welcome. The regulation applied is in accordance with the Special Olympics regulations (see www.gothiacup.se).

Who can participate
Youth with intellectual disabilities. Born in 2001 or earlier (this is a youth tournament and the recommended age is 16-21 and maximum age of 29 years.).
Number of teams in the tournament
The Kim Källström Trophy can receive 15 scandinavian teams and 15 international teams, i.e. a total of 30 teams out of which 22 teams with accommodation. Teams that first register and pay the entry fee will have priority.
According to the Special Olympics rules (see www.gothiacup.se and Special Olympics regulations). Grouping will be made by division play in order to secure an as fair play as possible. This is a class for males, but females are more than welcome to participate. The games will be played 7-a-side. A maximum of 10 players can be registered in each team. All players must have a valid identification document or passport to show at the control upon arrival to the school or at the registration for local team.
EURO 140 per person. The fee is compulsory for all participants and leaders. Lodging in school class rooms for four nights with full board (breakfast, lunch dinner) and Gothia Card is included. Mattresses and bedding are included in the price.
All participants need to be ensured both on and off the field. Gothia Cup does not carry any group insurance protecting participants in case of injury, illness, theft or damage to property.

30 May: Last day to hand in the first division assessment and registration documents on players and leaders.
10 June: Last day to make extra orders
12 July: Arrival to Göteborg, Sweden
13 July: Division matches and opening ceremony
14 July: Group stage. Gothia Leaders Party
15 july: Group stage. KKT- Players Evening.
16 July: Play off and finals, Departure
EURO 100 per team. The fee is compulsory for all participating teams.
Registration and payment
The easiest way to register is on our Internet site www.gothiacup.se where you will find a special tab for the Kim Källström Trophy.
To secure a place in the tournament, register and pay the team fee as soon as possible. The registration date is calculated from the day we receive your team fee. The accommodation costs must be paid no later than 10 May. Otherwise we can not guarantee your accommodation. Please pay all the accommodation costs at one time. Refund of accommodation cost is only made if you cancel before June 10. Subsequently we require medical certificate (please note that the medical certificate must be received by Gothia Cup at the latest June 10th, 2015). The team fee is not refundable.
