The finals in Kim Källström Trophy have been played and we have a winner in each group. Six finals were played during two hours today at Heden 5 and 6.
Kim Källström Trophy began with qualifications to create tight and even groups. Today the two best teams in each group met in one decisive game, 2 x 15 minutes.
Grupp 1: IF Hammaren – Special Olympics Romania 1-4
The smooth romanians started with good passes resulting in two fast goals. Hammaren from Karlstad tries to push forward with through balls but only managed to reduce one goal in the end. Romania’s number 3 scored a hattrick!
Grupp 2: Special Olympics Lithuania – Special Olympics Azerbaijan 0-2
This game showed real skill and was a close encounter. Azerbaijan got two clinical strikers but Lithuania, on the other hand, had a skilled goalkeeper. The first half enden goalless but in the second Azerbaijan scored two and managed to prevent the lithuanian threat from set pieces.
Grupp 3: Special Olympic Cyprus – Fässbergs IF 1-5
Fässberg had a young and enthustiastic team with a large audience. Their quick passing game made it through the fysical cypriotic defence and won the game with ease.
Grupp 4: Special Olympics Serbia – Olympique Lyonnais 0-3
Serbia has tough players, and perhaps this is the most fysical game in the tournament. Lyonnais isn’t used to the amount of duels but compensates with first touch and technique which results in three goals.
Grupp 5: Ronneby BK – IF Änglarna 0-3
IF Änglarna from Vänersborg has scored 16 goals during the group stage and continued in the same manner in the final. With two offensive strikers they are ready when the goal opportunities arrives. In this game the goalkeepers stand out with great saves but the Ronneby keeper couldn’t stop Änglarna’s offence.
Grupp 6: Grunden BOIS black – Johannesbergs LIF 1-8
No team in Kim Källström Trophy was even close to the amount of goals from Johannesberg, from Mariestad, with 31 goals in 4 games. Grunden had some chances but only scored one goal and Johannesberg won fair.
