G19 – AIK was the best team in the even class

G19 – Karlskrona FF (SWE) – AIK FF (SWE) 0-2 (0-1)
The two teams in this final clearly show that the G19 class has been very even this year. The speed of the game is high from the start and both of the teams have a clear wish: to win. AIK shows great passes and they keep their positions well. In the fifth minute, Nathalie Perswalld scores the first goal of the game. It’s a nice goal – a few good passes in a row, followed by a shot from the left side of the pitch. Karlskrona has a fast forward who never stops running and trying to catch the ball – Anna Julin – but she’s always stopped by the AIK defenders. Worth mentioning is that the two keepers today really stand out: Lina Widén Gatehag for AIK and Emilia Liljequist for Karlskrona.
Karlskrona doesn’t get a fun start of the second half. After seven minutes, Veronika Steen scores for AIK, which really is the better team in this final. AIK also has a massive support from the audience, which is for the worse for Karlskrona. AIK plays a well thought game, the passes are good and they win almost all the tackles. Karlskrona is pushing as much as they can, but AIK steals the ball quickly. A free kick in the middle of the second half is their best chance, but Lina Widén Gatehag saves. It’s an AIK team overwhelming with happiness that lifts the cup after the match, which ends 2-0.
Most valuable player: #5 Linda Augustsson, AIK
