B18: Fässbergs IF (SWE) – Fyllingsdalen FK (NOR) 1-0 p (0-0)

In Gothia Cup’s last game Fyllingsdalen got the first opportunity but the goalkeeper in Fässberg, James Clark, saved. Fässberg had a fast passing game and much possession but couldn’t create any scoring opportunities. Fyllingsdalen, on the other hand, counter attacked and used set pieces, which they’re good at, to create chances but didn’t score. It was a close and even game where Fyllingsdalen had the chances while Fässberg had the possession.

In the beginning of the second half a Fyllingsdalen player was sent off which ruined their game plan. Fässberg got the advantage but Fyllingsdalen stayed strong and defended well. In the end both Daniel Sahib and Samuel Gustafson had great chances but Stefan Hagrup in Fyllingsdalen’s goal saved. Penalties had to separate the teams.

Fässberg were the better team in the penalty shoot-out and won the last title.

Most valuable player: #1 James Clark, Fässbergs IF
